Company
Who is OniT Enterprises?
OniT Enterprises Lda is a Dili-based production software company founded by Celestino Freitas, Tony Franklin, and Olga Xavier Gago. We design, build, and operate the software running Timor-Leste across tourism (Rezerva), hospitality (Rezerva PMS), HR & payroll (Meza), education (EMIS), and news (Timor Media Monitor). We're the only software studio in TL with a real product portfolio behind us — every project on this site is live, used by real customers, and operated by us in-house.
Where are you based?
Dili, Timor-Leste — we work out of an office in Timor Plaza (Comoro). All engineering, design, and client management is done locally. The team is small and in-house: no outsourcing, no offshore subcontractors, no time-zone gap with our TL clients.
What does "AI-first" mean in practice?
AI tooling is wired into every step of how we build — architecture review, code generation, content, SEO, ops, and even client support. It's not a feature we sell; it's how a small team consistently ships work that would normally need an agency of 30. Concrete result: same-day SEO and security hardening passes that move external audit scores 40-60 points (see our Australia Awards case study). Every line of code is still reviewed and tested by humans before it ships.
Engagements
What kinds of projects do you take on?
Government and ministry websites, NGO and donor-funded platforms, tourism and hospitality sites with real booking integrations, internal tools for SMEs, mobile apps (Expo / React Native), and AI/ML features bolted onto existing products. We've shipped trilingual (EN / Tetun / PT) websites at national scale, offline-capable PWAs for rural use, and Postgres-backed multi-tenant SaaS. We don't do brochure-ware where a Squarespace template would do the job better.
How fast can you ship?
A baseline production site with security headers, structured data, sitemap, and analytics is a 1–2 week engagement. A SaaS MVP with auth, database, and admin is 4–8 weeks. A national-scale platform like timorleste.tl is 3–6 months end-to-end. We run small, parallel, and ship in week one — there's no discovery phase before any code gets written.
How do we engage you?
Email [email protected] with a 2-paragraph project description and any deadline you're working against. We'll respond within one business day. For Government and donor-funded projects, we can produce a fixed-scope proposal in EN, PT, or Tetun within a week.
How do you price?
Fixed-scope, fixed-price wedge proposals — never time-and-materials for unknown scope. Indicative starting points are on the /services page. For ongoing engagements (managed hosting, retainer for content + SEO, fractional CTO arrangements) we quote monthly. Pricing is transparent and in USD.
Languages & Locale
Do you work in Tetun and Portuguese?
Yes — we ship trilingual sites (English, Tetun, Portuguese) for clients like the Ministry of Tourism (timorleste.tl) and the Dili International Marathon (dilimarathon.tl). Our own products that target a Timor-Leste audience (Meza, HariSuku, Rezerva PMS) ship with Tetun-first interfaces. For machine translation we maintain our own Tetun MT pipeline at tetumdili.com, used in Timor Media Monitor.
Can you work in Bahasa Indonesia?
Yes — Indonesian is the fourth language Timor Media Monitor handles, and several team members work across ID for partner businesses with offices in Bali, Kupang, and Jakarta.
Operations
Where is everything hosted?
Hetzner Falkenstein (Germany) on a single fleet box managed via PM2, fronted by Cloudflare for CDN + WAF. Same infrastructure across every product we operate. Daily backups, automatic Let’s Encrypt renewal, log aggregation, and uptime monitoring are wired in by default.
Do you handle ongoing maintenance?
Yes — managed hosting starts at $120/month per service. That covers patching, dependency upgrades, backups, monitoring, log rotation, security advisories, and one round of content updates per month. For larger sites we quote bespoke retainers.
Do you offer source-code escrow / portability?
Every project ships with git access. You own the code; we operate it. If the engagement ends, you keep the repo, the data, the deployment scripts, and a runbook describing how to take it elsewhere.
